Cranberry Bean and Sugar Snap Pea Salad with Gouda
If you're looking for a healthy delicious salad to bring to this weekend's Father's Day barbecue, then stop by Marcus Samuelsson's blog to check out my cranberry bean and sugar snap pea salad with gouda!
Joanne, I've officially decided to rename my list of bookmarked recipes "Joanne's amazing recipes, all of which I would like to fix immediately..." because I bookmark every recipe you post!! :-)
I want to grow cranberry beans but never get the seeds ordered early enough. I keep hoping someone will have them at our Farmer's Market. This looks delicious.
I have a thing for sugar snap peas. I literally will eat a whole bag in one sitting. They are so sweet and crunchy! But the problem is, I like them so much raw I can't bear to make anything else with them. Kind of like mangos. I have to have them plain. Forgive!
hahaha oh my god your carrot cake cookies post reminded me of this dude at the gym that got on the treadmill next to me last weekend and started singing and shooting fake basketball shots and getting himself pumped with like a choreographed dance. it was almost too ridiculous to describe
Joanne, you really came to my rescue! My mom told me to bring "a nice salad" to our Father's Day dinner on Sunday. I was about to hunt one down and now I don't have to. Love the gouda in there!
Excellent filling salad! I hate eating salad for a meal then feeling starved after, that wouldn't happen with this one! Have a fun weekend :), Miriam@Meatless Meals For Meat Eaters
As a child, my mother often used to buy me gouda as this was the only cheese I would eat! (Yes, incredible, but as a child I didn't like cheese!) So this recipe definitely appeals to me -- it's bringing back some good memories of worry-free time :)
How cool is it that you're on Marcus Samuelsson's blog! I love this recipe - the gouda reminds me of my previous life in Holland... one of my favorite cheeses. Happy to see it now in this unique context. Awesome share!
Ever wonder what would have happened if Carrie Bradshaw had gone to medical school and filled her two by nothing New York apartment with cookbooks instead of shoes? Wonder no more. Join me as I weave my way through life in NYC as an MD/PhD student/marathon runner/grocery shopper extroadinaire....and eat really well while I do it!
Eats Well With Others - Often crazy. Mostly ridiculous. Always delicious.

ReplyDeleteGouda is such an under utilized cheese in the salad world, props for giving it the cred it deserves!
