If you thought sage was meant solely for pumpkin, then think again. Check out my recipe for white bean, sage and roasted garlic spread on Marcus Samuelsson's blog!
Fantastic combo, awesome spread! I have been on a sage kick lately, I like to use it on pork and chicken, even with miso! I also love white bean spreads (I add white beans to my hummus and everybody loves it). One girl even said I usually don't like homemade hummus, but this is really good! Shhh. don't tell anyone.
What we need to figure out is how to get taste tests of the fabulous food you feature on here! You are my hero! This looks fantastic, Joanne. Simply fantastic! I've been wondering what I could do with all the happy sage in my front bed. There's only so much saltimbocca I can make. The cost of prosciutto is wrecking my budget. :)
i just came from there... and as I've said in my comment over there (which I am repeating over here hehe) Im the sage-nutmeg-pumpkin kind of person. I wouldn't have imagined that sage could play well with others too haha. Do you think canned beans work too? Just wondering... It's been awhile Joanne but it always feels good to come back here all the time. xo, Malou
Got me a couple different hummuses we like. And i trade out cannelloni beans for garbanzo for whatever. And it is all usually a free for all with what ends up in the food processor, but so much fun! Thanks for sharing this one!
If you have a can of white beans in the house, you always have the makings for a great spread or dip. It's a lifesaver for impromptu gatherings. I love yours with the roasted garlic.
Wow- talk about some major flavors going on ,all of which pair perfectly with one another and one recipe I can't wait to get my hands on- or rather my chip/cracker into:)
Joanne, now I know what to do with my sage in summer. I'm getting this big thing for food on bread - bruschetta, tartines and the like, as a way to make a meal out of toppings. Cool beans that you're on MS site.
