How does one prepare for an impending hurricane? By making tacos of course! Check out my recipe for tofu (or chicken or fish) tacos with spicy cabbage slaw and avocado on Marcus Samuelsson's blog!
My colleagues in the US generally associate tofu with health freak food that is bland and unpleasant. Only when they came to Asia that they changed their mind. I am a tofu lover and this tempts me... :)
Ahh, that picture is so inappropriate right now -- I am HANGRY for something tasty and savory at the moment. I have no avocados, no tacos, no tofu, and no cabbage though. And it's one in the morning, so I really have no business eating a full on meal, but....I want to.
Honestly, Joanne, I don't know how you do it. Go to medical school and run like mad and blog AND blog for Marcus. And after all that, you still have the energy to come up with some crazy fucking good like this.
Sorry I cursed, but seriously how the f892 do you do this? You are truly extraordinary.
And I still dream of being your roommate so i can suck some of your productivity. ;-)
Yummy yummy yummy!!! This looks so super yummy - thinking - marinade for an hour or 2 - cook on grill on pizza pan (my new solution for stuff that can't be grilled, but really should be able to be) and continue! Mmmmm! Can't wait!
Ever wonder what would have happened if Carrie Bradshaw had gone to medical school and filled her two by nothing New York apartment with cookbooks instead of shoes? Wonder no more. Join me as I weave my way through life in NYC as an MD/PhD student/marathon runner/grocery shopper extroadinaire....and eat really well while I do it!
Eats Well With Others - Often crazy. Mostly ridiculous. Always delicious.

ReplyDeleteTofu tacos... now that I've never tried! I am not the biggest fan of tofu though, so that could be why...
ReplyDeleteI welcomed in the hurricane drinking margaritas out of mason jars on a friend's back porch and munching on homemade bread. It was pretty cool.
