I don't think you should back down from your he-must-love-sweet-potatoes stance. I don't think I could've married my husband if he didn't really like mushrooms or butternut squash. This chowder sounds fantastic. I adore caramelized onions and with sweet potatoes, yum!

Yum! The temperature has dropped 10 degrees here in Austin (we're now at 90!) and chowder sounds delicious. Thanks for sharing with me. My breakfast tastes a bit better as I imagine how tasty this soup must be! I hope you are having a beautiful day.
ReplyDeleteMy sister's 7-month old is a boy after your own heart--he only eats sweet potatoes. (okay, and banana) I keep thinking 'that kid's gonna turn himself orange' and then I remember how last fall that was your goal (granted, that was with pumpkins), heh heh.
ReplyDeletethis recipe incorporates four of my favourite ingredients. mind = blown!!
ReplyDeleteI'm one of the lucky ones with a fig tree too...but, it's not looking too good this year :( They don't look nearly as nice as yours! I'm still trying to salvage some.
ReplyDeleteI steal rosemary from my neighbors. Technically it's not stealing, they know. I just hope the rest of our new neighbors know and don't think I'm stealing, ha ha.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a fantastic, go-to winter dish. I love the addition of rosemary.
ReplyDeleteJoanne, the problem with you going vegetarian is that you are posting too many recipes I want to make! This looks great! Maybe I will tackle it in the winter when all the glorious fresh veggies have gone into hibernation. ;)
