Want to avoid the holiday fifteen this year? Check out my recipe for garbanzo beans with shredded brussels sprouts and vegetarian sausage on Marcus Samuelsson's blog! It's so quick, easy, and healthy that you'll have no excuses not to eat right in the days leading up to the big day!
Also, check out the guest post I wrote over at Confessions of a Chocoholic!

Bring on the Brussels sprouts! You inspired me to try them... and I found out they taste great! :)
ReplyDeleteHa, I almost thought holiday 15 sounded like a lot but I'm pretty sure I'd be capable.
ReplyDeleteLove that you posted a vegetarian dish on a blog named Confessions of a Chocoholic! :)
ReplyDeleteI love this! So good to have a fun, flavorful dish that is so healthy!
ReplyDeleteI HAVE to start shredding my brussels sprouts. They become so much more versatile that way.
ReplyDeletelooks awesome. I ll go check it out. =)
ReplyDeletehavent shredded my brussel sprouts yet - this looks a nice and healthy dish though after all of the cookies ive been eating
ReplyDeleteWonderful recipe for a vegetarian main dish!
ReplyDeleteSuch a filling and healthy dish. Looks so delicious.
ReplyDeleteOh, raw Brussels sprouts, now there's one I haven't tried yet! Can't see why not though, since I do love them most ways I've tried them so far... Gotta go check out your recipe now. :)
ReplyDeleteLove me some Brussels sprouts!
ReplyDeleteI've never thought about shredding brussels sprouts. Nifty!
ReplyDeleteI must confess... only you could get me to eat Brussels sprouts! Happy holidays & New Year Joanne!
ReplyDeleteI've never shredded my brussel sprouts before but i have peeled them with beautifully light and fluffy results. I don't do it that way anymore because it's too time consuming. This seems like the perfect compromise between time and texture.
ReplyDeleteI love Brussels sprouts! Must try them with chickpeas next time.

Wow, you're guest posting all over the place! It's no wonder, because your food is genius.
ReplyDeleteI am trying to avoid the holiday 15 as well, and both of these dishes look amazing! I saw your curry recipe guest post...it looks killer!
ReplyDeleteShredded brussel sprouts is a great idea! I've only seen them cooked whole, never shredded!
ReplyDeleteDelicious love these healthy recipes.
ReplyDeleteI am so impressed that you can both blog for yourself and for Marcus. I can barely even pull mine up for 10 minutes in the morning!
ReplyDeleteWonderful recipe for a vegetarian main dish! It makes me really want some. I cannot wait to try!
ReplyDeleteI've never tried shredding Brussels sprouts before. I think I might have to next time I have some. These look fantastic!

ReplyDeleteDear Joanne, This does sound wonderful. I am certain I would enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteI wish you a very blessed and merry Christmas.
Your friend, Catherine xo
I'd like to try both please! :)
ReplyDeleteVeggies + wine = has to be a good combination. This looks like a great detox!
ReplyDeletedoes the sausage add a lot? i tend not to like those "fake" meats so would most likely not include but then wondered if the dish would be lacking in fullness or something.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous - The sausage adds a nice saltiness/meatiness to the dish but I think you could get a similar effect with mushrooms!
ReplyDeleteGoodness, you're busy! The food looks awesome :), Miriam@Meatless Meals For Meat Eaters
ReplyDeleteYet again, this turns out to be my perfect meal. I just love every ingredient in this dish!!
ReplyDeleteYou make me rethink bussel sprouts!! What a comforting dish as well as healthy!!
ReplyDeleteYou made a sausage out of a vegetarian?
ReplyDeleteDamn....I have GOT to click over and see that ;)
