And now for a bit of a chocolate interlude.  Just this past weekend, Whole Foods was kind enough to let me try out some of their fun local Valentine's Day offerings!

First up, is these fun offerings from Nunu Chocolates, located in Brooklyn!  I got to try their sea salt caramels which were absolutely divine (The.Boy. and I literally moaned while eating them) as well as one of their booze boxes which was full of truffles that were filled with beer-infused chocolate ganache!  The beer flavor was quite subtle but definitely there and it made for a great chocolate experience!

They also have other booze boxes filled with assorted infusions such as absinthe, moonshine, sake, rye, mezcal-chili, and amarula. If you have a booze-lover in your life, then these might be the perfect gift!

In addition, I also got to try a variety of blondies and brownies from Greyston bakery (located in the Bronx!). Each that I tried was perfectly chewy and fudgy and rich in flavor.  As a bonus, for each one of these that you purchase, 2 percent of the sales will go to the Whole Planet Foundation to fund poverty alleviation worldwide. So you get your dessert and your good karma all in one bite.

Cornmeal dumplings are simply inspired- Never thought of that simple switch. Oh man, I'm checking out that recipe right this moment! It's about time I brought the dumplings back.
