IMG_1589
An oldie but a goodie, though I originally posted this recipe for a tropical and delicious vegetarian version of the Cuban classic, picadillo, last year, this warm weather has convinced me to relive its deliciousness and share it over at Marcus Samuelsson's blog!  Please go over and check it out!

  1. Delicious! Love tropical fruits like mango as the weather warms up (unseasonably so!). I have to admit though - it's those almonds on top that make me want to dig right into this dish!

  16. Yum, LOVE that you used mango. Have you ever tried cooking with green mango? It's kind of tangy and lovely in lentil dhal/stew type things. I've never actually used ripe mango in savoury dishes like this so this so I'll be trying this one out... Thanks Joanne!
